Now we’re looking for a “VP of R&D” to join our R&D Team as a leading disruptor in the bar tech landscape, as recognized by CB Insights and many more. 

Here’s What You Will Be Doing: 

• Define and execute an innovative R&D strategy aligned with Pubinno’s vision, ensuring that technical advancements directly contribute to business goals.
• Lead the end-to-end research and development of groundbreaking products, including Smart Tap, Smart Clean, Tap Pay, and Smart Hub, with a hands-on approach to design and prototyping.
• Oversee the mechanical and electronic design processes, focusing on integrating advanced IoT and smart technologies into product development.
• Drive the design, prototyping, and testing of innovative products using tools such as 3D CAD software, rapid prototyping methods, and manufacturing techniques.
• Champion the maker culture, fostering a hands-on, collaborative environment to bring creative solutions to complex challenges.
• Ensure seamless integration between hardware and software for superior user experiences and operational excellence.
• Spearhead initiatives to optimize existing systems for scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency while meeting high-quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations while exceeding customer expectations for quality.
• Build and mentor a high-performing, agile R&D team that thrives in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
• Introduce predictive maintenance, operational analytics, and other smart features into product designs.
• Leverage emerging technologies to enhance product performance and scalability.
• Work closely with the VP of Operations, VP of Sales, and other leaders to align R&D efforts with market needs and product roadmaps.

Desired Skills and Experiences: 

• 10+ years of experience in R&D roles, including leadership positions in IoT, hardware, or technology-driven industries.
• Proven expertise in mechanical and electronic product design, with a track record of bringing products from concept to mass production.
• Strong command of 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and hands-on experience with prototyping tools like 3D printers and CNC machines.
• Demonstrated experience in integrating IoT, predictive analytics, and emerging technologies into innovative product designs.
• A background that reflects a maker spirit, with a history of tackling hands-on projects and creating tangible results.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide multidisciplinary teams in an agile environment.
• Data-driven decision-making skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering impactful results.
• Previous startup or entrepreneurial experience is a significant plus, particularly with a history of end-to-end product development and launch.
